The seven (7) volunteers who currently steer the GCCI are a group of dedicated and experienced professionals. All of whom are business owners managers or leaders, who are focused on the advancement and progress of small to medium businesses in what is quintessentially a largely industrially economic environment. Collectively they have 22 years as GCCI committee representatives and more than 130 years in the workforce - quite a formidable team. Further to this, the Chamber is fortunate to have a dedicated Administrative Officer allocated for 20 hours per week to support communications, governance and event facilitation.
This committee differentiates itself from many others in the region in one word - SPIRIT! None of the members are undertaking their commitments in a paid capacity or are remunerated for the endless hours they spend working, meeting and facilitating the events of the GCCI.
