This award honours an inspirational business leader, aged 36 or over as of July 1, 2025, who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to their workplace, industry, and community through outstanding leadership and mentorship. It celebrates individuals who not only excel in their professional roles but also play a pivotal role in the growth and development of others, their industry, and the broader community.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this category, the individual must be a business owner or have held a senior management or executive-level position within their organisation for a minimum of 12 months at the time of entry.

Judging Criteria:
The Best in Business judges will consider the following when judging excellence in this category:

• Leadership Qualities: How the nominee has demonstrated strong leadership skills.

• Achievements: Specific outcomes and successes the nominee has accomplished and contributions to their industry.

• Overcoming Challenges: Any barriers or difficulties the nominee has faced and how they overcame them.

• Community Impact: How the nominee’s leadership has benefited the community.

• Mentorship: How the nominee has assisted or mentored other local business owners and managers.

• Inclusiveness & Accessibility: The promotion of inclusivity and accessibility in the business's operations and services.
