This award honours an inspirational young business leader, aged 35 or under as of July 1, 2026, who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to their workplace, industry, and community through outstanding leadership. It celebrates individuals who excel in their professional roles while making significant contributions to their industry and the broader community.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this category, the individual must be a business owner or have held a senior management or executive-level position within their organisation for a minimum of 12 months at the time of entry.
Judging Criteria:
The Judges will evaluate the following criteria to assess excellence in this category:

Leadership – Demonstrates strong leadership qualities through the ability to lead, influence, and inspire others. This includes initiative, accountability, effective decision-making, and the ability to positively contribute to workplace culture and team performance.

Achievements – Demonstrates measurable success through specific outcomes, accomplishments, and contributions to their organisation or business. This may include business growth, performance improvements, project success, or contributions to their industry.

Innovation & Initiative – Shows the ability to think creatively and implement new ideas, approaches, or solutions. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement, driving change, and contributing to innovation within their role, organisation, or industry.

Resilience & Growth – Demonstrates the ability to overcome challenges, adapt to change, and respond to setbacks effectively. This includes evidence of personal and professional development, learning, and progression over time.

Community & Industry Impact – Actively contributes to the local community and/or industry. This may include involvement in community initiatives, industry engagement, advocacy, or making a positive impact beyond their immediate role or business.
